...Right after he leapt from bannister

LEAPING LIZARD CAFE

MAY 6, 2012......This anole was resting on the bannister at The Leaping Lizard Cafe until he saw me and leapt onto the nandina nearby. He seems to be well camouflaged and doesn't move, probably assuming I can't see him. Actually. I think the anoles are accustomed to me and usually will go about their activity, undisturbed by my presence. This particular time placed him closer than usual to me, so he reacted to be sure of his safety.

Unusual sight to see tail straight upward

in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains. Today, an anole dressed in its bright green suit seemed in fine fiddle as it watched the world around it. I noticed its tail up in the air, which wasn't observed by me before today and I wondered what this indicated, if anything.
